Liza grew up in her mother’s art studio, so she’s never been afraid to express herself. As a child refugee from the former USSR, the themes of how we develop our identities and our sense of home have driven her work, first as an anthropological researcher and now as a documentarian. Liza lends her passions to the edit station, where she crafts commercial and original projects. Before joining SideXSide, Liza was a fellow and then coordinator of the Southern Exposure Film Fellowship and produced films used to educate on critical environmental policy issues. Liza speaks Russian.
