January 8th, 2024 – SideXSide Studios announced that it has added marketing, sales, and
distribution executive Max Richards to lead business development for the studio. With over a
decade of experience in developing, distributing, and monetizing content in the global media
industry, Max will spearhead growth opportunities for SideXSide, ranging from client partnerships to the utilization of cutting-edge technologies.
Working with some of the most innovative studios of the era, such as Electus, Propagate Content, and Deep Sky, Max has developed and represented world-renowned TV shows, films, and live sports events through content distribution and international co-productions.

Following the success of 2018’s SXSW Audience Award-winning documentary film TransMilitary, SideXSide Studios continues to produce content that illuminates the human experience. Its most recent documentary short “Finding Us” will premiere on PBS’s Reel South this spring. The film profiles the descendants of enslaved people of Georgetown University who are now using modern DNA technology to find their lost relatives. SideXSide Studios is also in post-production on their forthcoming feature film Spies Among Us (Formerly Untitled Stasi Documentary) with funding from the International Documentary Association, Catapult Fund, and the Jonathan Logan FamilyFoundation. SideXSide Studios also continues its high-touch commissioned brand content forclients like Hilton, LinkedIn, USO, HIAS, and more.
In early 2024, the studio expanded operations to Europe, providing a true multi-continental
production infrastructure for the global stories it’s known for telling. Studio co-founders Gabe
Silverman and Jamie Coughlin Silverman will lead the European hub for SideXSide from Vienna.
